Frequently asked questions

IFSCORES FAQ — pricing, coverage, technical, privacy.

The homepage FAQ covers the 8 most-asked questions. This page goes deeper: pricing edge cases, women's leagues + minor divisions, what happens when your phone is offline, account deletion, and how the polling cadence actually works.

Pricing

How much does IFSCORES cost?

#q-1-1
IFSCORES has a free plan with three default presets and basic alerts — enough to follow your favourite team and one screener-style scenario. Pro is paid (priced in-app at checkout, not advertised on this landing). Pricing details surface inside the app where the purchase happens; we deliberately don't publish them here because regional pricing varies by App Store + Google Play country settings.

What's included in Pro vs Free?

#q-1-2
Free: 3 default presets, push alerts for your favourite team, ad-free always (we never run ads). Pro: unlimited custom presets, advanced filters (multi-league, time-window-combinations, stat-thresholds), priority alert routing, longer trigger history, and early access to new features.

What's the Lifetime Pro offer?

#q-1-3
The first 1,000 Pro buyers pay $99.99 once and get Pro entitlement for life. No renewals, no future price hikes. After the cap, Pro converts to standard subscription pricing — so the 1,000 Lifetime slots are first come, first served.

Can I cancel anytime?

#q-1-4
Yes. Pro is managed through Apple App Store or Google Play, so cancellation happens in your platform's subscription settings — same as cancelling Netflix or Spotify. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no clawback. Lifetime Pro has no recurring charge so there's nothing to cancel.

Coverage

Are women's leagues covered?

#q-2-1
Yes. Women's Champions League, NWSL, FA Women's Super League, Liga F (Spain), Frauen-Bundesliga (Germany), Serie A Femminile (Italy), Brasileirão Feminino — covered at the same data quality as men's competitions. The 463-competitions figure includes men's + women's leagues + cups + international tournaments globally.

What about lower divisions and regional cups?

#q-2-2
Top 3 divisions in most major football countries are covered (e.g. Bundesliga 1+2+3, Serie A+B+C, Championship + League One + League Two in England). Regional cups (FA Cup, Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia, DFB-Pokal) are full coverage. Below the third tier, coverage depends on provider availability — the screener returns 'no live matches in this scope' when the upstream feed lacks the league.

Are friendlies and pre-season matches included?

#q-2-3
Senior international friendlies + pre-season fixtures from top European clubs are covered. Youth friendlies (U17/U19 international) and non-public training-ground matches are not. Friendlies trigger alerts the same as competitive fixtures if your preset matches.

How does the 2026 FIFA World Cup work?

#q-2-4
Day-one coverage of all 104 matches (48 teams, 32 days, USA/Canada/Mexico host). Same 5-second polling cadence + sub-8-second alert latency as any other competition. World Cup-specific presets ('any group-stage upset', 'extra-time goal in knockout', 'red card in final') will be one-tap templates in the app.

Technical

How does the 5-second polling cadence work?

#q-3-1
Every 5 seconds the IFSCORES backend pulls the latest event stream from the live-data provider, runs every active user preset against the new state, and queues notifications for matches where a preset became true since the last poll. The cadence is bounded by upstream provider rate-limits + downstream push-delivery time; 5 seconds is the optimum where alert freshness and infrastructure cost both fit.

What happens if my phone is offline when an alert fires?

#q-3-2
Push notifications are queued at the OS level (iOS APNs / Android FCM) and delivered when your phone reconnects. There's a 24-hour TTL on queued pushes by default. When you open the app you'll see the preset trigger in your history regardless of whether the live push arrived — so you never lose state.

Why sub-8-second and not instant?

#q-3-3
8 seconds is the end-to-end ceiling we hold: live event happens on the pitch → upstream provider timestamps it (median 2s) → IFSCORES polls + evaluates presets (5s cadence) → push routes through APNs/FCM (1-2s typical) → notification on your lock screen. 'Instant' would require a WebSocket per device per match which doesn't scale; 8 seconds is fast enough to beat broadcaster delay on most TV streams.

Privacy & Account

What data do you collect?

#q-4-1
Email + bcrypt-hashed password (or OAuth basic profile if you use Apple/Google sign-in), your presets + favourites, device push token, basic usage analytics (screen + session metrics, no personally-identifying behaviour). Full list in the Privacy Policy. We never collect contact lists, photos, microphone, or any data not directly needed for the product.

Can I delete my account?

#q-4-2
Yes — from Settings → Account → Delete. There's a 30-day grace period (you can restore if it was a mistake), then the account + all associated data are permanently erased. Push tokens, preset history, OAuth bindings, transactional emails — all purged. Data is GDPR Article 17 / KVKK Madde 11 / LGPD Art. 18 / CCPA / PIPL Art. 47 compliant.

Does IFSCORES work without an account?

#q-4-3
Browsing live scores: yes, no account needed. Setting presets + receiving alerts: account required (we need somewhere to anchor your presets + a push-token binding). Sign-up takes ~10 seconds with Apple or Google one-tap; email + password takes ~30 seconds.
